Annual Ensemble Night

Quinnipiac University students will perform at the annual Ensemble Night at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7, in the Theatre Arts Center, 515 Sherman Ave.

The annual concert will feature jazz and chamber orchestra performances. Each group will play both jazz and classical styles. 

The jazz ensemble, directed by Kyle Saulnier, visiting professor of music, will perform a wide range of songs, including Joe Zawinul’s “Mercy Mercy, Mercy,” Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Hello Young Lovers,” and Horace Silver’s “Song for My Father.”

 The chamber orchestra, directed by Vesna Mehinovic, adjunct professor in the department of visual and performing arts, will perform various melodies, including Georges Bizet’s “L'Arlésienne” and a melody from the movie “Rocky.”
