Yawp! An Open Dialogue on Creativity and the Arts

Debora Kuan, director of English and language arts at the College Board, will read her poetry on Wednesday, April 12, at 6:30 p.m. in the Kresge Lecture Hall, Echlin 101, at Quinnipiac University, 275 Mount Carmel Ave. 

Kuan will read from her newest volume of poetry, “Lunch Portraits,” and some of her previous work. Her reading will be followed by a question-and-answer session.

Kuan has been awarded a U.S. Fulbright creative writing fellowship, University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop graduate merit fellowship, Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference work-study scholarship and residencies at Yaddo, MacDowell Colony and the Santa Fe Art Institute. She has written about contemporary art, books, film and some works of fiction.

She has a MFA in poetry from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and a bachelor’s degree in English from Princeton University.  She lives in Brooklyn, New York, with her husband and daughter.
